Russia threatens to eliminate UK nukes ‘within a day’ in WW3 threat | World | News

A military expert from Moscow has made the alarming claim that Russia could disable Britain and France‘s nuclear deterrents “within one day” if World War 3 were to erupt.

The Putin regime is also reportedly investing in £330,000 mobile nuclear shelters for major cities, designed to safeguard key individuals in the event of a catastrophic war. Dmitry Medvedev, a senior Kremlin official and former Russian president and prime minister, has stated that Putin is not bluffing when it comes to threats of nuclear warfare.

Dr Yuri Baranchik, a Moscow military expert, detailed Russian strategies in ‘Operation Unthinkable’, should the conflict in Ukraine escalate into nuclear war. He declared: “Within one day we carry out Operation Unthinkable. We eliminate the nuclear potentials of Britain and France.”

According to Dr Baranchik, this strategy would serve two purposes: it would “deprive Europe of its military-geopolitical status” and “reduce the number of nuclear powers [in the world] from nine to seven.”

The expert claimed these actions would “pull out the nuclear teeth of Britain and France, then the NATO bloc will no longer have any blackmail in the European theatre of operations.”, reports the Mirror.

He added that NATO would only have tactical nuclear weapons and US nuclear weapons left, even in Europe, but their use would mean the destruction of America, which it would never risk.

Baranchik, a notable Nuclear expert closely associated with Kremlin circles, made a disturbing claim about the UK’s nuclear arsenal, declaring that it could be neutralised with relative ease. During his comments, he disclosed: “Its [Britain’s] entire nuclear potential, since 1998, has been a group of four Vanguard-class SSBNs [nuclear power submarines carrying atomic missiles] based in Faslane, Scotland. One or two underwater boats are on alert… between Greenland, Iceland and Britain, and one or two are in port for repairs and replenishment.”

Further, he ominously added: “I will not talk about options for destroying these four submarines, as well as the Royal Naval Armament Depot, located three kilometres west of the Faslane base, which stores nuclear warheads not loaded into [the submarines].”

Baranchik branded the task of incapacitating French nuclear weapons “more complicated” but was quick to assure it was “solvable.”

According to him, neutralising Britain and France and eliminating their capabilities in nuclear weaponry would radically redefine Europe’s security landscape, whilst stripping them off their titles as nuclear powers.

The expert then outlined the consequential steps post this act, stating an “ultimatum would be issued to the United States, NATO and the European Union to cease within 24 hours military and financial support for Kyiv and the implementation of Russian proposals for the European security system.”

Failure to comply within specified time frame would result in the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons against targets in Europe.

Baranchik, a close associate of Putin, issued a chilling ultimatum: “If nobody answered and there was silence: ‘Then we issue an ultimatum again. Only tougher.'”

He further suggested that the dilemma could be resolved by destroying the nuclear potential of Britain and France, and issuing an ultimatum to the European Union, as he believes the United States would not agree to exchange strategic nuclear weapons strikes with Russia.

In a recent revelation, a draft government decree showed that Russia is lacking in capacity to protect its population in the event of a nuclear war. It was also disclosed that “mobile modular shelters” designed to “protect the population from the effects of all types of modern weapons, including nuclear weapons” are being planned.

The proposed KUB-M includes two modules: sheltered rooms for 54 people and a technical block. The main advantage of these shelters is their mobility; they can be transported to different locations and provide protection for 48 hours from various threats such as air shock waves, light radiation from a nuclear explosion, penetrating radiation, radioactive contamination, high-explosive and fragmentation effects of conventional weapons, falling debris from building structures, hazardous chemicals and fires.

Access to these shelter rooms will be regulated by the regime. Medvedev, a spokesperson for Putin, stated today that Russia‘s constant nuclear war rhetoric was “not intimidation or a nuclear bluff”, suggesting that a final stage conflict couldn’t be ruled out.
