Outrage after mum gifts spoiled nine-year-old son £452k designer watch | World | News

The children of an Australian socialite are certainly no strangers to the luxurious lifestyle.

Roxy Jacenko often shares the glamour of her family’s everyday life online, but sparked a fierce debate after sharing one of her son’s demands.

Building her wealth of off a hugely successful PR company – Sweaty Betty PR – for twenty years, and a lucrative marriage to an investment banker means that Roxy and her family can afford to indulge. The pair have two children: Pixie, 12, and Hunter, nine.

Sharing snapshots of their life online, viewers can see the glamorous family flying first-class on Emirates and kitting the kids out in all-designer outfits.

Perhaps, then, it is no surprise that the children have come to expect luxury, highlighted by son Hunter’s request for a designer watch costing more than £450,000.

Roxy shared a text exchange between herself and her son, who is currently residing in Singapore with his father whilst Roxy visits Sydney, on social media.

Messaging her son, mum Roxy tells him that she misses him. Writing back, Hunter said: “Same. Can you buy me presents. And surprise me. Not s**t ones tho. Like cool stuff.”

As one would expect from an ultra-rich socialite, Roxy took no issue with this request, and simply asked what he wanted.

Your average nine-year-old boy might request a drone, maybe a Spider Man costume. Not Hunter, however.

Instead, he sent his mum a photo of an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar watch, costing around £452,000.

Whilst you might expect a parent to be befuddled by such a request, Roxy simply responded: “Ok.”

This may seem extraordinary, but expensive taste seems to run in the family as shown by a shopping list Rory’s daughter sent her when she visited Los Angeles last year.

12-year-old Pixie wrote: “Okay so what I want is: Glossier mascara, Aquaphore stick probs will be in target, Go for Gold top in shot sleeve and long sleeve from urban outfitters, Aviatior nation track suit, and I’m still looking so give me a sec many thanks.”

Rather ungratefully, the tween also slammed Roxy as a “Dumb a**” and a “stupido” when her mum asked what one of her requests was.
