Emma Raducanu releases French Open statement as Brit eyes Wimbledon | Tennis | Sport

Raducanu was among a number of high-profile stars who were snubbed by the French Open organisers, who instead primarily handed out wildcards to players who would be competing on home soil rather than the likes of Simona Halep, Dominic Thiem and Caroline Wozniacki.

The Brit’s attention now switches to SW19, which begins on July 1, having been unable to play in front of her home fans last year.

Raducanu will be desperate to put on a show at Wimbledon and could begin preparations at the ITF event in Surbiton on June 2, with a plan likely to be formulated in the coming weeks.
