Woman’s oversized shower cap has fans comparing her to Bridgerton icon

A woman who took to social media to show off her extra-large shower cap ended up being compared to a Bridgerton icon.

Dalal, an automotive designer from San Diego who posts online as @delshk, often shares content about her career and representation in the industry. But occasionally, she delights her followers with comedic clips that leave them laughing.

In one such video, which received over 133,000 likes on TikTok, Dalal showed fans how her oversized shower cap looks when she wears it to cover her afro hair. “Let me show you guys my shower cap,” she wrote.

As she zoomed out to reveal its full size, she humorously added in the caption, “What the hell do I need all this for?” Fans were quick to draw comparisons to Queen Charlotte, the popular character from Netflix’s Bridgerton.

One user commented, “It’s giving Queen Charlotte,” while another wrote: “It kept going.” Someone else joked: “Queen Charlotte: ‘Spectacular! Give me 14 of them right now.'”

Queen Charlotte, portrayed by Golda Rosheuvel, is known for her extravagant wigs and bold personality. Her character became so beloved that Netflix released a spin-off series in 2023, telling the love story between her and King George III, with India Amarteifio and Corey Mylchreest playing the younger versions of the couple.

This comes after Golda Rosheuvel, 53, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk at the Queen Charlotte garden party in London saying while she “couldn’t possibly choose” a favourite gown from the series, she can pinpoint her favourite royal.

She declared: “William and Kate’s little one, George should have his own spin-off.” The actress had a sudden moment of realisation as she stood next to Corey Mylchreest, who plays a young King George III in the new series, exclaiming: “George! How funny is that!”

Rosheuvel continued: “There’s a wonderful little boy from Ireland on Instagram, I can’t remember his name because it’s his mum’s Instagram, but he should play (Prince George). He’s fabulous!” However, the author of the Bridgerton novels, Julia Quinn, has a different royal in mind.
