Woman finds biggest Walkers crisp ‘ever’ – how did it fit in the pack?

A Reddit user has left snack lovers in awe after discovering what might be the biggest Walkers crisp ever, so large that it nearly matched the size of the entire 25g packet it came from.

The user, known as z96girl, shared her exciting find in the CasualUK forum, posting a photo of the giant Thai Sweet Chilli Sensations crisp held up next to the bag for scale. She described her shock at the discovery, admitting that she was so taken aback that she “immediately ran upstairs to show [her] boyfriend.”

The post quickly gained traction, with fellow crisp enthusiasts marvelling at the sheer size of the snack and sharing their thoughts on how such an enormous crisp could have survived the journey intact.

The post was met with a flood of amused and amazed responses, as users took to the comments section to pay tribute to the colossal crisp.

One commenter imagined the crisp’s near-miraculous survival through the manufacturing and packaging process, they wrote: “Just thinking about the journey that thing has been on to end up here in one piece is making me tear up. Well done that crisp.”

Another user, clearly impressed by the scale of the snack, jokingly suggested that it was big enough to ride, “You could surf on that,” they said.

A third, in a more dramatic tone, simply declared: “You are the chosen one.”

While the occasional oversized crisp does find its way into a packet, it’s incredibly rare for them to remain unbroken after surviving the production process, packaging, and transport.

Most crisps are fragile and shatter under pressure, especially when jostled inside a bag that is often crushed during shipping and stocking.

Walkers, one of Britain’s most famous crisp brands, has yet to comment on the appearance of the giant snack, but many Reddit users speculated on how it could have happened.

Some suggested it might have slipped through quality control, while others believed it was a happy accident, the result of an uncut section of potato making its way through the crisping process.

Similar rare crisp discoveries have been known to make headlines in the past. Some have been sold on eBay, while others have been preserved as quirky keepsakes.

In 2023, a teenager in Wales went viral after finding a perfectly heart-shaped Walkers crisp, which ended up winning a £100,000 prize in a competition run by the brand.
