Iran responded with a bombing campaign of their own, targeting its Middle Eastern neighbours, including the United Arab Emirates. The capital Abu Dhabi was hit hard by overnight attacks, with projectiles having been seen flying over the nearby city of Dubai.

However, it appears Dubai is now under attack itself, with popular tourist spots having been struck by missiles. That includes the Dubai Palm, an area known for its luxurious hotels, accommodation and upmarket eateries.

Eubank took to social media to share a clip of one of the missile attacks, labelling it: “Explosions going off on the Dubai Palm right now. Please everyone be safe.”

The clip itself isn’t believed to be Eubank’s, with it having been widely shared by several accounts before he posted it on his social media. He has since taken his posts down. The video shows a missile hitting what looks to be a hotel or residential area, with a huge plume of black smoke rising into the air.

The incident has caused chaos in the region, with flights in and out of the UAE having been grounded. An update from the UK government read: “Due to reported missile attacks, British nationals in UAE should immediately shelter in place. Remain indoors in a secure location, avoid all travel and follow instructions from the local authorities.”

Keir Starmer revelaed on Saturday afternoon that UK forces played no part in the US-Israeli-led strikes. However, he urged the Iranian regime to bring the conflict to an end before it spirals out of control.

Prime Minister Starmer said in a statement: “Iran can end this now. They should refrain from further strikes, give up their weapons programme and cease the appalling violence and oppression of the Iranian people – who deserve the right to determine their own future.

“Even in the United Kingdom, the Iranian regime poses a direct threat to dissidents and to the Jewish community. Over the last year alone, they have backed more than 20 potentially lethal attacks on UK soil. So it is clear they must never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon.”
