A huge explosion in Dubai has reportedly rocked the US embassy as fears of a huge World War 3 skyrocket to alarming new levels. Authorities have confirmed a drone-related incident near the US Consulate, which caused a fire that emergency crews brought under control.
Emergency teams were dispatched immediately and quickly contained the blaze, officials said. Authorities added that no injuries have been reported. Videos circulating on X claim to show a suspected Iranian attack drone striking the US Consulate in Dubai, triggering an explosion and fire. Officials are yet to confirm whether the footage circulating online shows the actual incident. A statements from the Dubai Media Office read: “Dubai authorities have confirmed that a fire resulting from a drone-related incident near the US Consulate has been successfully contained. Emergency teams responded immediately. No injuries have been reported.”

The US Consulate in Dubai is located in the Bur Dubai district along the banks of Dubai Creek, one of the city’s historic commercial areas.
The diplomatic site sits close to several other consulates and government buildings, in a part of the city that attracts both residents and tourists.
Smoke is reportedly still visible across the district as emergency crews rush with witnesses describing the scene as “chaotic”.
This evening, The Express has been reporting live on explosions reported near the Mina Seyahi and Dubai Marina areas.
Residents described hearing a powerful blast that shook parts of the city, with warning sirens also sounding shortly afterwards.
Explosions have also been reported over Doha, Qatar, with loud blasts heard across the region.
Air raid sirens were also activated in Kuwait.

Witnesses described them as “sudden”, “thunder-like”, and “shockwave-inducing”often felt in buildings.
The incident comes amid soaring regional tensions following the US-Israel military campaign against Iran, known as Operation Epic Fury.
Iran has since launched retaliatory missile and drone attacks across the Middle East, targeting locations linked to US and allied forces.
Eight cruise missiles were also detected and all eight were intercepted.
The ministry also reported detecting 812 UAVs, with 755 intercepted and 57 impacting within state territory.
Earlier Insight Radar reported that multiple loud bangs, booms, and explosions were witnessed in Dubai Abu Dhabi, Doha.

Over the weekend, debris from intercepted Iranian drones damaged two luxury hotels in Dubai.
Authorities said fragments fell near the Burj Al Arab, causing a minor fire on the hotel’s outer façade that was quickly brought under control, with no injuries reported.
Debris was also reported near the Fairmont The Palm on Palm Jumeirah, landing in a nearby car park while the hotel remained open and operational.
