Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd strike fee agreement as Arsenal learn Sesko verdict | Football | Sport

Arsenal‘s potential swoop for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko before the deadline has already been endorsed by Ralf Rangnick.

The former sporting director recommended Sesko, among other forwards, to Manchester United while he was interim manager in the 2021/22 season.

But the Red Devils opted against making a move, and the 21-year-old later joined Leipzig from RB Salzburg in a £55m deal.

“There might be a couple of players – and I have already named those players to the board – that independent from formation, from style of football, and independent from a new manager, that could be of interest for a club like United,” Rangnick explained.
