Newcastle United stopper Martin Dubravka has reached a preliminary agreement in principle to sign for Al-Shabab, according to Saudi news outlet Ariyadhiah.
The 35-year-old has been used sparingly this season as the Magpies’ squad is overflowing with goalkeepers.
With Dubravka’s contract expiring in June, it is unclear whether the Saudi Pro League side will take him on in January or whether they have struck pre-agreed a free transfer for the end of the campaign.
The Slovakian international has made 164 appearances in eight seasons on Tyneside.
