Queen Camilla sends secret message with key move | Royal | News

Queen Camilla had one secret message she was trying to communicate through her style choice during her latest appearance last weekend, according to an expert.

The Queen turned heads last Saturday as she stepped out in Berkshire to attend the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot Racecourse.

Camilla donned a white and blue patterned dress by Suzannah London alongside a wide-brimmed straw hat and nude heels as she presented the first Royal Ascot trophy won by the French for the first time since 2006.

But it was her glamorous jewellery that stole the show as the royal debuted a new bracelet with a secret meaning, according to jewellery experts.

King Charles’s wife sported Van Cleef & Arpels’s – a jewellery brand she regularly favours – Perlee bracelet, which costs £29,700.

Maxwell Stone, of jeweller Steven Stone, said: “Queen Camilla’s new bracelet, identified as part of the Van Cleef & Arpels ‘Perlée’ collection, has one distinctive feature compared to the similar piece available online for nearly £30,000.

“Crafted from 18-carat yellow gold, the bracelet boasts three stripes adorned with stones. However, instead of diamonds, Queen Camilla’s bracelet appears to be set with round-cut sapphires, indicating it is a bespoke creation.”

“Sapphires, long associated with royalty, carry rich symbolism. Known for promoting emotional healing and inner peace, they are a particularly meaningful choice for Her Majesty, especially as she continues her duties with King Charles’ cancer diagnosis likely weighing on her mind.”

On Saturday, France won the stakes for the first time since 2006 with its horse Goliath and jockey Christophe Soumillon.
