Putin’s puppet issues chilling WW3 warning but claims Russia will ‘sit out’ of new war | World | News

Kremlin propagandist Margarita Simonyan has predicted an all-out war involving global powers, claiming that one will “definitely” erupt in the Middle East. Despite this, the Putin ally stated that Russia would not actively participate in any new conflict.

Simonyan’s remarks follow similar statements from Putin’s allies following the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas conflict. Vladimir Solovyon, a Kremlin propagandist and anchor for Russian 1 channel, recently claimed that World War III had already begun.

Meanwhile, Dmitry Medvedev, the Deputy Chair of Russia‘s Security Council, wrote on X in early December that there hasn’t been a greater threat of “direct confrontation” between Russia and NATO since the Cold War.

In a post on X Simonyan said: “And now the third world war. Whether a world war will break out now or a little later depends on whether Washington believes that it will be useful to it now, before the elections, or vice versa.

“Judging by the choral silence of the American media, they are still thinking.”

In another post, she declared: “A world war will start, and with almost complete probability – precisely in the Middle East.”

It comes as Russia’s recently intensified aerial attacks on Ukraine which have resulted in sharply increased civilian casualties in December. More than 100 Ukrainians killed and nearly 500 injured, according to the United Nations.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been making a diplomatic push for Kyiv’s Western allies to keep supplying weaponry.

He recently visited the three Baltic countries and on Tuesday attended the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where he met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

Ukrainian forces last year clawed back about half of the territory lost to Russia after the full-scale invasion in February 2022 and have forced the Russian navy to pull back from the Ukrainian coast in the Black Sea, he noted.
