One-minute task Oasis fans should do to help get tickets | Music | Entertainment
The UK was thrown into a state of excitement this week with the announcement that Oasis would be reuniting for several gigs across the country.
Liam and Noel were seen together in a new monochrome photo as the full details of their first shows in 16 years were confirmed at 8am on Tuesday. A joint statement was also released on behalf of Oasis, which read: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see.”
The band concluded the message with the phrase “it will not be televised”, serving as a stark warning to fans. If they fail to secure tickets, they won’t get to see the show.
The scramble for tickets is expected to be fast and frantic, with millions of people hoping to gain entry to the concert. Ahead of the ticket release this weekend, one man has offered some advice to increase fans’ chances of securing them.
Sharing his tips under the username costoflivingcrisistips on TikTok, he suggested one key preparation step to try and secure tickets, which will be sold through TicketMaster, gigsandtours and SeeTickets.
Fans can also register for pre-sale tickets via the Oasis website for an opportunity to get their tickets early. The remaining tickets will go on sale from 9am on Saturday (August 31), while they’ll be available for the Dublin shows from 8am on the same day.
He advised: “With a site like TicketMaster, you need to register your details, confirm your email and phone number and have your card details registered so you’re ready to go. These tickets are going to sell out so fast, you’ll be lucky to get any at all.
“I wouldn’t be fussy about where the tickets are. If you have an opportunity to buy the tickets – no matter where they are – just buy them. That’s exactly what I’m going to try to do.
“Terms and conditions apply. Maximum of four tickets per customer. No doubt these tickets will be re-selling for thousands.”
