M&S ‘cosy’ coat will keep you warm ‘all winter long’
Marks and Spencer has left shoppers impressed with a cosy parka coat they say will keep them warm ‘all winter long’. The Stormwear Faux-Fur Hooded Parka Coat is available in two colours – spice and midnight navy – and has a detachable faux fur hood.
Priced at £95, the coat is designed in a regular fit and comes in sizes six to 24. The front fastens with a neat zip and popper, while the cuffs are finished off with stretchy ribbed detailing.
The parka is made from a textured material with a slight sheen and has high-shine trims for a ‘glam aesthetic’. M&S says the coat has been made with ‘innovative technology’ to protect from light rain showers.
That’s not all, as the parka also has warm fleece-lined pockets to keep your hands toasty and to store your essentials, such as your phone, keys and purse. The coat has an internal drawstring to cinch in your waist, creating a flattering silhouette.

50 shoppers have reviewed the coat to date, with it earning an overall rating of 4.4 out of five. One delighted customer gave the parka five stars and said: “Great quality. Lovely long coat. Will keep me warm all winter long.” A second wrote: “Bought this coat for my wife, it’s warm and stylish but at the same time it is very practical, she loves it.”
An M&S shopper who has purchased the parka recommends sizing down, as they explained: “Had to size down in this coat which was a perfect fit. Not too heavy or light, so perfect for keeping warm but not stuffy. Worn quite a lot in the pouring rain and it has kept me dry and warm.
“It’s smart/casual – perfect for dog walking or when dressed up. Adjustable hood which is a life saver as usually they hang over my face. Removable fluff which is great as I’m not personally a fan but to each their own. Overall I highly recommend and wear it all the time, the quality is good.”
Unfortunately others had sizing issues, as one explained: “Normally I am a size 14 but I ordered a 12 after reading reviews. Re-ordered size 10 but still too big.”
Someone else noted: “I have bought the same size coats and jackets from M&S for years and ordered this in my size. It is absolutely huge – at least two sizes too big. So sadly it is going back.”
However, a happy buyer who rated the coat five stars raved: “Love it. As others have said, it fits a little bigger so it is perfect for jumpers underneath if needed. It’s cosy and windproof, and so far rainproof but I haven’t been out in torrential rain. I particularly love the cuffs on the sleeves… no more cold wrists. Would recommend.”
