Marc Cucurella suffered a nightmare start to Chelsea’s trip to Tottenham on Sunday, slipping twice in the build-up for both of the hosts early opening goals. Spurs led 2-0 after just 11 minutes, with the Spanish left-back lurching on the rain-soaked pitch to lose possession moments before both strikes.

In the fifth minute, Cucurella received the ball from Levi Colwill under no pressure just inside Chelsea’s half before Brennan Johnson took advantage of his blunder.
