Lewis Hamilton ‘joins dating app after splitting with Brazilian model’ | F1 | Sport
Lewis Hamilton has reportedly joined exclusive celebrity dating app Raya after splitting from Brazilian model Juliana Nalu. The seven-time Formula One world champion is supposedly looking for love on the social network that only allows a very select group of people.
Hamilton was previously in a relationship with Nalu but the pair are reported to have gone their separate ways. The 39-year-old has also shared high-profile relationships with singer Nicole Scherzinger.
According to the Sun, Hamilton has now signed up to Raya in the hope of finding his next relationship. The report claims that upon landing in Australia for this weekend’s Grand Prix, the Mercedes star set his profile to “visiting Melbourne from Monaco”.
The app gets users to set a song to play over the top of their photos. Hamilton’s track of choice is Drake’s Search & Rescue. Intriguingly, his occupation is reportedly listed as ‘travel’.
A source reportedly told the Spanish newspaper Marca: “Lewis has been swiping a lot of socialites in London and uses it when he travels.”
A new relationship may distract Hamilton from a dismal start to the 2024 F1 season. Neither he nor team-mate George Russell managed to finish Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix, with Hamilton claiming that his engine seized during the race.
Mercedes have suffered a horror couple of years and had hoped that the new W15 edition of their vehicle would finally be the model to catch Red Bull and Max Verstappen. However, the Silver Arrows’ best finish so far this season has been Russell’s fifth-place showing in Bahrain.
“I think the engine seized,” Hamilton said afterwards. “It just appeared out of nowhere, like a split-second thing.”
He added: “George is doing a better job with our car, three qualifyings in a row that he’s out-qualified me. He just seems to get on a lot better than I do.”
