F1 LIVE: George Russell reignites Max Verstappen row as Christian Horner embarrassed | F1 | Sport

George Russell insists he plans to continue blanking Max Verstappen.

Their feud is set to run into the new season with neither driver backing down.

Verstappen was infuriated by Russell at last year’s Qatar Grand Prix, with the Red Bull man penalised for impeding his Mercedes rival.

The Dutchman then said he had lost all respect for Russell in the aftermath, with a huge row said to have taken place.

Asked if he will speak to Verstappen this year, Russell said: “I’ve got no intentions [to], to be honest.

“That happened last year. I want to focus on myself. Things got out of line last year. That was then. We are not going to go back to being best mates, that’s for sure.”

Verstappen was also quizzed on the topic, saying: “Honestly, I have no intention to continue any kind of beef in February.

“Like, I’m still enjoying my time actually away from Formula One, and just getting ready for the season. I have honestly nothing to say about that subject.”
