F1 LIVE: Ferrari hit with unusual fine as Lewis Hamilton fires warning shot to Red Bull | F1 | Sport
Ferrari have been fined €5,000 (£4,257) by the FIA after Charles Leclerc broke an unusual rule on Friday.
The Monegasque driver was fitted with a set of intermediate tyres in FP2, with Ferrari playing it safe as the rain threatened to disrupt proceedings.
However, intermediate and wet tyres can only be used when the race director has declared the track to be wet.
This was not the case and Ferrari were determined to have breached the sporting regulations, resulting in a fine being handed down.
