Ed Sheeran’s net worth is staggering thanks to successful music career
The 33-year-old has received a plethora of accolades including four Grammy Awards, five Brit Awards, and six Billboard Music Awards.
After years of success, it’s not surprising the musician was named one of the country’s top 10 wealthiest people under the age of 35 last year, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
Ed ranked in seventh place with a staggering estimated wealth of £300million, according to reports from last year.
He ranked higher than both Adele, who was in ninth place with a fortune of £165million, and Harry Styles whose wealth is pegged at £150million.
However, he did not rank high enough to make the main Rich List where people are worth £350million or more.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Ed’s net worth is an estimated $200million (£159million).
It’s thought that the musician’s sixth album, Subtract, which was the UK’s fastest-selling album in 2023, contributed massively to his wealth.
When Ed is touring, he can easily earn between $70 and $100million (£55.7million and £79.6million), according to Celebrity Net Worth.
He also reportedly earned $65million (£51.8million) between June 2019 and June 2020.
The singer’s “Divide” tour grossed a staggering $780million (£621million) between March 2017 and August 2019 which then became the highest-grossing concert tour of all time.
In May last year, Ed reportedly began renting a $36,000-a-month (£28,689) apartment in Brooklyn, New York.
The apartment has four bedrooms and stunning views of the Manhattan skyline as well as a private rooftop terrace.
The property last sold for an eye-watering $6.01million (£4.79million) in 2018.
