Donald Trump ‘paranoid’ he will be ‘removed from office’ due to ‘cognitive decline’ | World | News
A top American psychologist has hinted that Donald Trump is “paranoid” that he will be “removed from his office” amid the rising concerns over his health. The 79-year-old US President, in a recent interview, stated that he is in “perfect” health, takes more aspirin than doctors recommend, uses makeup to cover bruising on his hands, and does not engage in regular exercise because he finds it “boring.”
In the latest interview, Mr Trump told The Wall Street Journal that he has received medical advice for a number of health issues. Analysing his health pattern with The Daily Beast, Dr John Gartner explained how the US President is following a different approach while dealing with the rumours about “cognitive decline”. He said: “I know we are going to talk about this Wall Street Journal article that just came out about Trump, but one of the interesting things they said is that, in the case of Biden, his handlers kept him out of the public eye as a way of basically deceiving the public about his level of cognitive decline.
The psychologist pinpointed how Mr Trump has been bringing «25th Amendment» in his conversations. He was asked if the US President is projecting that he’s actually anxious someone is going to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove him from office on mental capacity grounds.
Dr Gartner added, «I am sure that he’s paranoid about that, actually. Because he is paranoid, and paranoid people are very quick to see any threat to their power. malignant narcissist in particular. He says ‘People talking about my health, that reminds me of the 25th Amendment, so stop talking about it for the 25th time.»
The 25th Amendment outlines how presidential power is transferred if a president dies, resigns, is removed, or becomes unable to perform the duties of the office, and Donald Trump has recently denied reports questioning his health, insisting he is in “perfect” condition.
Recent reports have prompted speculation about President Trump’s health after observers noted bruising on his hands and instances where he appeared fatigued.
Mr Trump has firmly dismissed these concerns, insisting that his health is “perfect.” He explained that the marks on his hands are simply the result of taking daily aspirin rather than any underlying medical issue.
He also rejected claims that he had dozed off during meetings, saying that footage suggesting this was misleading and that he remains fully alert and engaged.
