Cleaner’s tile transformation leaves TikTok viewers amazed
Cleaning can sometimes feel like such a huge task on all your other responsibilities, that some people may never get round to it properly.
It can become an overwhelming task, and the thought of scrubbing for hours just isn’t appealing – but that’s where cleaning gurus like @donnamendoza35 come in.
She took to TikTok to share one of her client’s stories – and people were left shocked at not only the before of the tiles, but how spotless she managed to make them.
Over the top of a video where she could be seen scrubbing the floor, she wrote: “When the client thinks her floors have black and brown specks.
She then said she was pulling out her “trusty” Libman scrub broom, which can be purchased on Amazon for £20.
Using circular motions, Donna, who refers to herself as ‘the cleaning lady’, began the hefty task of scrubbing the tiles until they were cleaner.
She said the woman had “lived here for 14 years and thought they were supposed to be that colour”.
In the past, the woman had “only used a regular string mop”, so the results she’d had didn’t meet the mark.
Donna also said she used Pine Oil 84 cleaner, saying she “knew immediately it was dirt in the crevices” as soon as she “did the walk through”.
She then showed people “how the dirt is lifting up” in front of their eyes.
She then poured all the dirty water down the toilet, inviting people to “look at the difference” in the floors before and after.
The floor was gleaming and looked as good as new once she’d cleaned it thoroughly.
In the comments, a cleaning fan suggested that if she “hit the grout with a steam cleaner” it would be a “game changer”.
Someone else wrote: “These textured tiles are the absolute worst. We have them in my bathroom and I have to use that viral rotary scrubber to get the nooks and crannies.”
Another penned: “Aww heck. This looks exactly like my tile. Guess I’m steam-cleaning it now. Literally same tiles dang it.”
A TikToker also said they had the “same tiles” saying: “I wear myself out cleaning them and it’s still not where I want it.”
