Bruno Fernandes makes Marcus Rashford feelings crystal clear in Man Utd message | Football | Sport

Bruno Fernandes was amongst several Manchester United players who sent birthday wishes to Marcus Rashford. The forward celebrated his 28th birthday on Halloween, just two days before Barcelona face Elche and a day prior to United’s trip to Nottingham Forest. Current and former colleagues took to social media to mark the occasion.

Fernandes was amongst the first to share his message, posting a selfie of the pair on his Instagram story. He tagged Rashford in the upload, writing: «Happy birthday broski. Enjoy your day as you deserve.» Rashford reshared it on his story and replied: «Love brother.»

Barcelona team-mate Roony Bardghji also contributed via his story: «Happy birthday my bro,» whilst tagging Rashford.

Former United academy graduate and close friend RoShaun Williams shared a throwback team photograph from their youth, writing: «Happy birthday to the right hand.»

Rashford subsequently uploaded a photograph of himself standing before balloons with a cake displayed on the table. Upon closer examination, the cake features the reverse of Barcelona’s home kit, displaying his squad number 14.

David de Gea became one of his first ex-colleagues to respond, sending a red heart emoji alongside a partying face emoji. Harry Maguire quickly added his own comment: «Happy birthday mate.»

Former United academy product DJ Buffonge also wrote: «More life, more blessings.» Another former academy graduate, Devonte Redmond, wrote: «Happy birthday bro, showed us all impossible is nothing! Keep striving.»

Rashford also received warm wishes from Coleen Rooney, who commented: «Happy birthday – have the best time celebrating xx.»

His brother, Dwaine Maynard, chimed in with: «Mum is over for your game on Sunday. A win and a goal would be nice.»

Long-time friend and ex-United player Jesse Lingard also sent his regards, posting, «Happy birthday, brother.»

Former Aston Villa colleagues Ian Maatsen and Leon Bailey followed suit.

«Happy birthday bro,» Maatsen wrote, whilst Bailey added: «More life and blessings my boy.»
