Brian May plays Beatles classic as he jets off on Queen and Adam Lambert tour | Music | Entertainment


This weekend, Queen and Adam Lambert kick off their 2024 tour with five dates in Japan.

Sir Brian May couldn’t contain his excitement as he shared some fun videos from the airport.

One Instagram post was captioned, “A New Adventure begins – I feel grateful !!! Bri” and captured the guitar leaving a message for fans.”

The 76-year-old said: “Okay folks I’m going to try to become an Instagramming person on this tour.

“As you’ll notice, what I’m doing at the moment is I’m eating a delicious olive in the departure lounge…and we will be shortly on the plane 14 hours to Tokyo. And I’m pretty excited, I’ve got to say. See you there!”

In the next video, Sir Brian was being sped along in an airport buggy by a member of staff who seemed to be enjoying transporting the rock legend.

Sir Brian said: “Very grateful to be treated to VIP internal airport transport on this beautiful new golden buggy with magnificent driver !!”

Once inside the plane, the Queen star filmed take off on his flight to Japan with a special nod to The Beatles.

With Beatles classic Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band playing over the footage, Sir Brian put his thumbs up as the plane left London. He captioned this post: “After 50 years of flying this is still a thrill !!! Tokyo here we come !! Bri.”

The guitarist has since landed in Tokyo and was greeted by fans at the airport wanting autographs. He wrote on this latest post: “So lovely to be appreciated ! Japan ! So happy to be back one more time !!! Bri X”

Queen and Adam Lambert are set to kick off this leg of the tour in Nagoya’s Vantelin Dome on February 4, before heading to Osaka on February 7, Sapporo on February 10 and then concluding with two nights at the Tokyo Dome on February 13 and 14.
