Reports suggest that flights were originally diverted to Liege airport from Brussels, which is about an hour’s drive southwest from the capital.
However, FlightRadar tracking data shows that arrivals scheduled to land after 8pm at Liege airport were diverted.
A flight due to land at 9.40pm from Tel Aviv is showing as delayed until 11.06pm.
Two flights were diverted, including a flight due to land at 8.30pm from Addis Ababa, which was sent to Maastricht Aachen Airport in the Netherlands
A flight from Indianapolis, due to land at 8.53pm, was diverted to Paris.
All times above are in local time, which is one hour ahead.
