Belgian police hunt for armed gunmen after shooting in Brussels



Police searched for two suspected gunmen who fled into the subway tunnels of the Belgian capital of Brussels after a shooting on Wednesday, prosecutors said.

The police shut down several subway stations and interrupted service on six lines, according to a post on X by STIB, the Belgium public transportation service.

The Belgian prosecutor’s office said no injuries had been reported during the incident at Clemenceau station in central Brussels, according to Reuters.

Sources close to the investigation said the incident may have been drug-related.
