Donald Trump ‘falls asleep’ in public again as health fears soar | World | News

Donald Trump appeared to fall asleep during a ‘Board of Peace’ meeting on Thursday. World leaders and national delegations are in Washington DC today for the inaugural meeting of Donald Trump‘s Board of Peace.

In the latest video, the US President appeared to drift off to sleep as officials addressed the leaders. The body, ‘Board of Peace’ was established to carry out his plans for Gaza’s future after its destruction by Israel, but Trump has expanded its mandate, describing it as “the most consequential international body in history”.

Social media users were quick enough to notice him “sleeping” at the event.

One of the users wrote on X: “More than two hours into this “Board of Peace” meeting, we are now enduring random world leader open mic time and Trump’s eyes are closed.”

Another wrote: “That man is fully asleep.”

A third user commented: “Such an embarassment. Make it stop.”

A fourth user wrote: “He is board of peace.”

Republicans Against Trump said simply: “He is not well.”

However, this is not the first time that the US President has been seen “sleeping” in public. Recently, Mr Trump was seen sleeping as Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin discussed the Clean Air Act during a news conference, which was aired on Fox News.

When the Cabinet member finished his lengthy speech, Trump took to the podium and stated: “That was long.”

As 79‑year‑old President Donald Trump begins the second year of his second term, his physical and cognitive health continues to draw scrutiny, fuelled by viral images, firm denials from the White House, and limited medical transparency.

During a 9/11 commemoration event in September, cameras captured what appeared to be a noticeable droop on the right side of Donald Trump’s face, a brief visual detail that quickly drew public attention. The footage circulated widely online, prompting speculation about whether the asymmetry signalled a temporary issue, fatigue, or a potential medical concern.
