Teacher jailed for 51 years after sex attack on boy, 12, during sleepover | World | News
A teaching assistant has been jailed for 51 years after sexually assaulting a boy. Anna Marie Crocker, 34, attacked the 12-year-old while he was having a sleepover with his friends, pulling off his underwear and assaulting him in front of the others who were sleeping.
The mother-of-four, who worked at Riverview Elementary School in Silver Lake, Wisconsin, also sent sexually explicit messages, videos and pictures to three other students. She pleaded guilty to seven felonies, including first-degree child sexual assault and second-degree sexual assault of a child.
As reported by The Sun, the 12-year-old boy reported the abuse to police in 2024. He told officers that Crocker woke him while he was sleeping in the basement during a sleepover.
The 34-year-old sexually assaulted the boy before texting him and demanding an apology. According to Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office court filings, Crocker said he should say sorry “for what happened in the basement”.
During her sentencing, the disgraced teaching assistant said: “I am disturbed by the harm and distress, along with the trauma that you have to endure. I am deeply sorry that this has caused confusion, pain and anger, and that you have to live with this the rest of your lives.”
Separate court records show Crocker also spoke with a 14-year-old boy over Snapchat before sexually assaulting him in a car park in August 2024. She was also accused of sending sexual messages to boys aged 13 and 16.
The court heard how Crocker asked the 16-year-old to come to her home for sex just a day before she was arrested. Investigating officers found several videos on her phone which supported the claims made by the young victims.
District Attorney Xavier Solis said in a statement: “This case represents a profound breach of trust. When an adult connected to our schools exploits our children, the harm is severe and lasting.
“This sentence sends a clear message to any school employee who preys on our children, in Kenosha County, you will be held accountable.”
Crocker was sentenced to 51-and-a-half years behind bars with prosecutors saying she won’t be eligible for release until she is 85. She will also be a registered sex offender for the rest of her life.
