Putin’s henchmen storm Russia sex-show and force naked fans to the floor | World | News

Kinky Moscow sex show attendees dressed in bondage gear were forced to hit the floor as Vladimir Putin’s morality police raided their erotic show. The cops detained seven organisers as armed officers urged the near-naked participants to lie face down. The dress code for the busted event was nothing but to come “in a festive mood”. Its attendees were wearing bondage gear, underwear or, in some cases, nothing at all. One attendee wore black trousers with a large cut-out hole to display their assets.

The Russian news outlet’s 112 Telegram channel reported: “The sexually explicit show was abruptly shut down.” In previous years, the event ran without issues, but this year, Russian cops were driven to restore traditional values as they found out “nude actors were stripping audience members on stage”. Tickets for the Kirill Ganin Theatre show at the Night Train Bar cost up to £46.

The theatre is named after Kirill Ganin, a Russian director and a self-proclaimed “theatrical pervert”. His shows have included sex and masturbation on stage and have caused multiple scandals. “Russia was ready for my work, but the state wasn’t ready,” Ganin said around 1995. Today, the reality is no different.

Media outlets with ties to law enforcement reported that the arrested organisers were charged with disorderly conduct. One could be deported from Russia after accusations of being an illegal immigrant. The theatre’s director, Alexey Filatov, earlier said that officers found no violations and that no charges were brought against the organisers.

One day after the raid, Russian National Guard officers violently shut down a punk concert in Moscow, with riot police forcing the concertgoers to lie face-down on the floor. They conducted searches for subscriptions to channels linked to organisations deemed “undesirable” by the Russian government.

Putin has long opposed the LGBTQIA+ community, both legally and rhetorically. In 2022, he accused the West of “moving towards open Satanism”, citing the promotion of gay and transgender rights in Europe as an example.

“Promoting homosexuality” is a serious crime in Russia, although Putin himself allegedly watched lesbian striptease in a club one week before becoming Kremlin ruler, The Sun reported. In March 2024, a 23-year-old Russian influencer was threatened with five years in jail for “tickling the boob” of a statue. That same year, Ukrainian model Lolita Bogdanova was arrested for performing topless in Red Square.

Putin’s former lover, Svetlana Krivonogikh, with whom he also has a 22-year-old daughter based in Paris, is the owner of a striptease club in St. Petersburg.
