Next James Bond casting and director latest unveiled for 007 reboot | Films | Entertainment

We’re now over three years on since Daniel Craig exploded out of the James Bond film franchise in No Time To Die.

And now the latest rumour is that Oscar-winner Sir Steve McQueen is in the running for Bond 26 director.

According to The Sun’s sources, the British filmmaker behind 12 Years a Slave and new World War II movie Blitz is in talks for the 007 reboot.

The outlet even called up McQueen’s reps, who gave a “very chirpy” response of “No comment”.

Meanwhile, “Casting for the role of the next 007, who was last played by Daniel Craig, is also said to have restarted.”

According to the outlet, Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains the favourite for the next Bond. Apparently, Saltburn’s Jacob Elordi and Fantastic Beasts’ Callum Turner are also in the running.

There’s even talk of John Boyega, who previously said he would only consider the part if the Blitz director was involved. Here’s hoping there’s finally an official announcement in the new year and our best bet is sometime in Spring.
