Melania Trump net worth: How former First Lady made her millionaire fortune
Melania Trump served as the First Lady of the United States from 2017 to 2021 as the wife of former President Donald Trump.
At the age of 16, she began working as a fashion model in Slovenia, then part of Yugoslavia.
She continued working as a model throughout her life before she met Donald Trump in 1998 when she adjusted to a more lavish lifestyle in New York.
He worked to get her more modelling jobs before they started having children where she then set up her own jewellery brand in 2009.
Her jewellery collection, Melania Timepieces is sold on QVC, with pieces priced between $30 (£24) and $200 (£160), which has helped her build an incredible net worth.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, the former model has an astonishing net worth of $50million (£40million).
Melania also launched her own skincare line which was a hit in luxury department stores.
Whilst she no longer has ties with the companies, she continued to make headlines throughout her time as First Lady due to her love for expensive fashion.
She only gave eight speeches in her first year as First Lady and most of her appearances as First Lady in 2017 were in Manhattan and Washington.
After moving to the White House, Melania opted to spend most of her time in the private quarters, instead of the First Lady’s East Wing Offices.
She oversaw renovations of several rooms in the building, including the bowling alley and the hairdresser’s room.
Her husband Donald is best known for being the President of the United States for four years, and he is thought to be worth a staggering $3.1billion (£2.5billion), according to Forbes.
Donald was born and raised in New York City where he received an economics degree and then took over his family business in real estate in 1971.
He also produced and hosted the reality TV show The Apprentice between 2003 and 2015.
